Melanie Batista is a pediatric Occupational Therapist with over 20 years experience working with children and families throughout the span of childhood in a variety of settings including hospitals, outpatient clinics, schools, and the home. She is passionate about working in the field of Early Childhood education to help establish the critical foundations for brain development. The foundations of sensory development, play, social-emotional skills, parent education, feeding, and motor skills are Melanie's area of expertise. She loves supporting teachers and caregivers to help children all all abilities be as successful as possible in the classroom and at home. Melanie holds additional certifications in the SOS approach to feeding to help problem and picky eaters, Sensory Integration and Praxis test, and Infant Massage. She also has received additional training in the Handwriting without Tears handwriting curriculum.
